I know the cauliflower hot wings have been super popular but these are a game changer, with a nice chewy tender center and crunchy coating the key is to marinate the tempeh for at least 30 minutes. Here’s how I do it:
Ingredients
1 block of tempeh I like to tear it into various shapes by hand
2-3 tbs of corn starch
1/2-3/4 cup panko bread crumbs
For Marinade
3-4 tbs hot wings sauce
2 tbs soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tbs agave nectar
1 tsp hot Chile sauce like sriracha or gochujang
First marinate the tempeh for minimum 30 mins or longer. Dip the tempeh in corn starch then dip back into the marinade then coat in panko. Bake the tempeh at F350 for 20 mins till crisp turning over in the middle or air fry at F390 for 8-9 mins. Remove from heat and drizzle any remaining marinade on the tempeh.
